Day 1 : Machining & Sanding
Careful preparation of each piece to ensure a smooth and pleasant surface to the touch.
Day 2 : Application of the first layer of protective oil (drying for 24 hours)
The oil penetrates deep into the wood to nourish it and begin to form a protective barrier.
Day 3 : Application of the second layer of protective oil (drying for 24 hours)
A second application reinforces the durability of the finish while enhancing the wood grain.
Day 4 : Stripping, finishing and packaging
Final smoothing of the surface, control of the rendering and careful preparation for shipping.
This finish is the quickest to achieve among our finishes.

Daily cleaning
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. For small stains, use a cloth lightly dampened with clean water. Avoid abrasive or chemical products that could alter the appearance of the wood.
Stain protection
Although the applied protective oil provides an effective barrier, it is recommended to quickly wipe up any spilled liquid to avoid streaks or marks.
Heat & humidity
Natural wood remains sensitive to temperature and humidity variations. Avoid direct heat sources (radiators, hot plates) and excessively humid environments, which could cause the wood to move.
Sun exposure
Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the wood's color to change over time. To limit these effects, remember to regularly move objects placed on the surface.
Shocks & scratches
This finish retains the authentic appearance of the wood, but remains sensitive to friction. Protect the surface with pads under heavy or abrasive objects, and avoid sliding items placed on it.
Occasional re-oiling
Over time, a light re-oiling may be necessary to revive the shine and strengthen the wood's protection. Please contact us for the appropriate product.

Technical specifications and health guarantees
Our natural finish is made with a vegetable oil-wax combining natural oils (sunflower, soybean, safflower) and vegetable waxes.
It forms a microporous surface that allows the wood to breathe while providing excellent protection against moisture and common stains. Once dry, it is certified harmless to humans, animals, and plants, and complies with DIN EN 71.3, making it perfectly suited for children's toys (resistance to saliva and sweat).
This finish is benzene-free, with a very low solvent content (VOC <500 g/l), thus guaranteeing excellent indoor air quality.

Because each piece is made to order, we customize the finishes to suit your needs. It's also possible to combine multiple finishes on the same piece of furniture to create subtle contrasts or graphic harmonies.
Here, the SEQUOIA dining table has been redesigned as a custom desk for a showroom in Guéthary. Natural wood has been combined with a glossy resin surface, creating an elegant interplay of textures, somewhere between matte and luminous. The rounded, capsule-shaped legs complement the matching BAOBAB stools , also made of natural wood and resin.
A special feature of this project: the wooden squares used for the stool legs come from a batch of scalded wood, marked by very expressive grain and a vibrant material. The whole creates a sober, warm and visually very rich ensemble, perfectly integrated into a minimalist space with cream and dark wood tones.
